Dr. Riley Barrett

Dr. Barrett is a 2014 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus, where he proudly earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Magna Cum Laude honors. During his time at Palmer he spent uncountable hours mastering his craft through learning and practicing many of today’s most popular adjusting techniques, and developing skills and interest in the fields of rehabilitation and soft tissue therapy.

Prior to attending Palmer Chiropractic, Dr. Barrett attended Central Michigan University where he took a liking to hands-on healthcare and worked to obtain Bachelor’s degrees in Preventive and Rehabilitative Health Fitness and Exercise Physiology. It was during this five year stay that Dr. Barrett met his future wife, Libby, and they made the decision together to move to Florida and pursue the life of chiropractic and all it had to offer.

After nearly four more years of attending classes and living the beach life, Dr. Barrett, Libby, and their two dogs, Rico and Dolly, made the move to Baltimore, MD. Shortly after the move to the city, Dr. Barrett made two decisions that almost immediately changed his future path for the better. Number one, he got married. Number two, he accepted a job at Spector Chiropractic, the longest running chiropractic office in Maryland, with the thought that someday he was going to have a practice of his own.

Nearly two and a half years later, that thought became a reality, and CHIROWORx Spine & Rehab was born.

Dr. Barrett, Libby, and the pups currently reside in the South Baltimore Community of Locust Point. Dr. Barrett enjoys playing golf, watching the O’s, reading, traveling, and frequenting all of the local food and drink stops around the city. If you see him out and about, never hesitate to shoot him a hello!

Joe

Joe was originally a student at UMBC studying Visual Arts and 3D animation. He later decided to change paths to something more related to health and fitness. Influenced by his family history of type 1 diabetes, he also decided to change himself and transition out of a sedentary lifestyle to a more active, healthy lifestyle. Joe frequently stays active and always looks for new workouts to keep himself motivated and happy.

He consistently trains in boxing (his favorite type of workout) as well as different types of weight training. Joe has experience working with personal trainers from The Under Armour Performance Center which effected his decision to become certified himself. He recently acquired a Personal Training certification with The American Council on Exercise (ACE) and hopes to influence other people into living a healthier, active lifestyle.

The field of chiropractic has always been an interest to him, which stems from his own personal low back issues. Learning about chiropractic medicine and rehabilitative exercises has furthered his desire to help people become and stay healthy. He is currently in the process of becoming a licensed Chiropractic Assistant.

In addition to his desire to help people, he also has the same love and passion into helping animals. In his spare time, he likes to volunteer at The Maryland SPCA animal shelter as well as at various pet charity events.
